What is about to happen…

Many people seem to be wondering about this and searching for the answer. Nobody knows what is about to happen except God. Haven’t you thought about this during this election cycle? We all have to some degree. But, with all of the pundits and players leaning one way and then the other from day-to-day, how can you know which candidate would be the right one?

Truly, you and I can’t know the answer to that until after the election and we find a winner. Many people are saying one thing about this candidate and how the future will turn out if he or she wins, when in the real world..nobody knows for sure except God.

Will America be a great republic like it was sixty years ago or one hundred and sixty years ago? Nobody knows. Will it turn into a socialist state and disintegrate into a chaotic anarchy? Nobody knows. If you don’t vote in the election, you won’t have a say in either outcome, so don’t complain when it doesn’t go the way you wanted it to.

Voting for a third-party candidate who has absolutely NO chance of being elected is as bad as not voting at all, so don’t cry about it when things get really bad if you didn’t have the guts to vote for a candidate which could do something for us. Why is this post so politically loud and not pointing out which person to support? Because I don’t have that answer and nobody else does either.

I do know that God already knows who will be elected and it will be the person that He has chosen to either bless this country once more or it will be the person who will bring America to its knees once and for all. We will either enjoy God’s blessing or we will feel and be subjected to His judgement, there is no middle ground, it is either one or the other.

Seek God’s wisdom in this election, pray about your decision and ask God which person you should vote for. Be in prayer about this every day until the election is over, then you can relax and say that you did all that you could and God has chosen because ultimately it will be God’s choice who will be our next President.

I am getting off of my soap box now. Thank you for listening and please be in prayer about this election, our future and your children’s future depends upon the outcome.

How is your life?

There are many who consider life to be a drudge or a trial and for some it may be. I am not going to tell you that life is easy everywhere nor does it depend upon your beliefs to make it so. Sometimes your life and your beliefs make your life easier and sometimes your beliefs can make your life harder depending upon where you live. No, life is not easy in America or anywhere else that you may live. In many places today civil wars are raging, there are religious disputes that involve the death of those on both sides, then there are places where there is drought and starvation. There are other places and problems in the world, some with more problems than the ones that I have mentioned.

Compared to much of the world, we in America are all rich! Why? Because even those of us who don’t make much in the way of money, have far more luxuries than those in Africa or India or Turkey. The monthly wages for a working man in sub-Saharan Africa or even on the north coast of Africa are less than four hundred dollars. In most countries the monthly wages are less than 100 dollars! So yes, compared to much of the world Americans are rich, even those without regular income.

Life is hard in many places, but in the next few years it will get worse. The end of the age is coming to a close and economics in our world are about to take a drastic turn. Please make any preparations that you can to take care of your family. Pray for God’s forgiveness for our land and for yourself so that we can be ready when He appears. The King is coming for His Church, His Bride. Be ready or not, it is your choice.

An Ode to America….

Read this excerpt from a Romanian Newspaper. The article was written by Mr. Cornel Nistorescu and published under the title ‘C’ntarea Americii, meaning ‘Ode ToAmerica ‘) in the Romanian newspaper Evenimentulzilei ‘The Daily Event’ or ‘News of the Day’.

~An Ode to America ~
Why are Americans so united? They would not resemble one another even if you painted them all one color! They speak all the languages of the world and form an astonishing mixture of civilizations and religious beliefs.

On 9/ll, the American tragedy turned three hundred million people into a hand put on the heart. Nobody rushed to accuse the White House, the Army, or the Secret Service that they are only a bunch of losers. Nobody rushed to empty their bank accounts. Nobody rushed out onto the streets nearby to gape about.

Instead the Americans volunteered to donate blood and to give a helping hand.

After the first moments of panic, they raised their flag over the smoking ruins, putting on T-shirts, caps and ties in the colors of the national flag. They placed flags on buildings and cars as if in every place and on every car a government official or the president was passing. On every occasion, they started singing: ‘God Bless America !’

I watched the live broadcast and rerun after rerun for hours listening to the story of the guy who went down one hundred floors with a woman in a wheelchair without knowing who she was, or of the Californian hockey player, who gave his life fighting with the terrorists and prevented the plane from hitting a target that could have killed other hundreds or thousands of people.

How on earth were they able to respond united as one human being? Imperceptibly, with every word and musical note, the memory of some turned into a modern myth of tragic heroes. And with every phone call, millions and millions of dollars were put into collection aimed at rewarding not a man or a family, but a spirit, which no money can buy. What on earth unites the Americans in such a way? Their land? Their history? Their economic Power? Money? I tried for hours to find an answer, humming songs and murmuring phrases with the risk of sounding commonplace, I thought things over, I reached but only one conclusion… Only freedom can work such miracles.

Are you waiting for something?

waitingSo many of us are waiting for the right job or the right spouse. Some are waiting for their so-called “ship” to come in or even for God to answer a prayer that they have prayed many times. Why does God make us wait? I don’t have a reason for you except that He is God. He knows what is coming and what is best for you. What you have prayed for may be the best for you but not at this time. It also may be something that you have asked for that is not the best for you, which is why you are waiting.

We have so much instant things in life today. Drive through at many restaurants, microwave popcorn, cell phones which let us have instant communication almost anywhere. It seems that we have lost our ability to wait for much, which means that our patience is not in abundance today.

Principles for living well

1. Live by and believe in the Ten Commandments
2. Treat others as you wish to be treated.
3. Don’t ask for or depend on hand-outs when a hand-up is more useful.
4. Read and study your Bible. Our country was founded upon its principles, so they should be good enough for you too.
5. Ask forgiveness for ANY wrong action or word, especially those said or committed in anger.

I did not learn these by reading comic books or playing video games. I learned these from the Bible and from living my life according to its principles.

I can hear some of you saying, “he thinks he’s better than us”, NO that is not how I feel! These are principles which our country was founded upon, whether you have learned it in history class or not. If we don’t turn back to life and living this way, our country is doomed. It won’t be our culture that dies and fades away, it will be America and its ideals that will fade to nothing!

Yes, you have the right to believe what you will in America, or not to believe in anything. But, that doesn’t mean that you have to push your ways and ideas on everyone else. I will be accused of doing just that when people read this, but if you don’t like what I say then you can go somewhere else on the Internet after all it is a free country…for now.

If you like what I have written here, then I thank you for stopping by. I mean that sincerely and please look around a bit if you wish. One of my other sites is The Living Message if you want to read some more about God’s principles.

Thank you for dropping by and I pray that the rest of your year will be GREAT!

In our world today….

What can we do to stop the violence? Is there any possible way that our country, our world can avoid another civil war? This time it won’t be over slavery, although I don’t know what it will be about unless it is centered on or around race and culture and the differences between us!

What HAPPENED? I had hoped that our country would be moving away from the race riots and tear gas and the gas bombs that I watched in the late sixties and early seventies! We are almost fifty years past all of that and it seems that people who marched with Dr. Martin Luther King are rubbing salt into the wound again. Why? What good is this going to do? Would he go along with this if he were here? I really don’t think so.

Yes, I know, I am a cracker and I don’t understand your culture any more than you can understand mine. My great-grandfather was a Native American, my great, great-grandmother was also a Native American. They were here long before any plantations began, so historically I can claim some knowledge of injustice.

But, I am not going to drag it from the 1800’s into today! It was cruel what our ancestors did to the Native American people who were here first. It was cruel and inhumane what many did to those slaves which were sold by Muslim traders into slavery, but starting a war over something which happened two hundred years ago or more DOESN’T MAKE SENSE!

Yes, I do get a bit up on a soap-box sometimes, but we are approaching the end of the Church age if you haven’t noticed! There are things which are about to happen, very likely in our lifetimes, that will make life very hard for a while. If you haven’t given your heart to Jesus, then you need to do so. Because when He comes back, there won’t be anyone contacting the President’s office to get permission to do things, Jesus will do it, period!

Before He begins His reign though, there will be seven years of what could be termed “hell on Earth” and those are the years that nobody will enjoy at all. Some may think that they will but, in the end it will not turn out good for very many at all. Remember, the Bible tells about this time and Jesus wins, Christians win right along with Him and so do the Jews who come to know Him as the Messiah! The plagues and other judgements that will be endured during the time before He sets foot on the Mount of Olives, will cause many to either turn to Jesus and ask for His forgiveness or they will curse Him to His face.

Then as now, there is no dividing line between love and hate nor is there a middle ground between belief or disbelief. You can’t have it both ways, you either believe or not and you will either love Jesus or hate Him. The world today, hates Him already as many people in America do. They will tell the media that they don’t hate Jesus or Jews, but they don’t believe in God or Jesus or any other religion. When you take that position, you are on the side with Satan whether you believe in him or not.

Culture wars, race war, civil war are all names for a war which has no real meaning and there is no good outcome for it either. The kind of war that is brought about by agitators, those who just want to start something and then sit back and see how it all falls out, never turns out well at all. Look at Vietnam. See how it turned out?

We, as a nation, need to have a real sit-down with Jesus. Come into the church and learn about Him, and truly have a revival in our land. If we don’t do that in the next few years, I really don’t see America lasting until the next century comes around. Consider this and pray about it. If you belong to a church, bring it up in the next meeting and try to get a movement back toward God started. One step, then another, and another and another…that is how a trip or a destination is reached and we need to reach out to God in faith and love before it is truly too late.

Offensive Christians

I don’t know when this happened exactly, but I have noticed it over the years. Here is part of an article that I read and I had to share it with you.

So this is where we are:
Military Chaplains are being reprimanded for speaking explicitly about Jesus and the Bible.
Christians are sued when they attempt to live out their Biblical based values.
The President scolds Christians for not “celebrating” perverse lifestyle choices which contradict scripture.
A Fire Chief was suspended merely because a book he wrote espoused biblical values.
And a motivational speaker is fired for mentioning Jesus in a combating stress speech to High School students in Texas.
How is it that America, founded on Judeo-Christian values, is suddenly, for all intents and purposes, adverse to those biblical values? How have we come to this place in history where America, many of whose founders claimed a personal relationship in Jesus Christ, is actively silencing citizens who would do the same?
And, in the words of my friend, Duane Patterson, when was “the right to not be offended” in the Bill of Rights?
President John Adams said:
Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.
Senator Daniel Webster noted:
Whatever makes men good Christians, makes them good citizens.”

We have allowed this because we have “turned the other cheek” too much. Over the past fifty or so years, we have allowed the government and our elected officials to chip away at our rights as Americans a little bit at a time. Now, we are beginning to notice, but it may be too late. We can’t change it without radical change happening and I am not sure that America and its people are ready for that.

Truly, America isn’t ready for that kind of change. Our country has moved in this direction for so long, it would take an intervention from God Himself to get us back on the right track again.

I choose…

Can we choose to be different? Can we, as a nation, choose to be the people in America who will move forward and not bring the past with us? Yes, we can! It will not be easy, but by choosing to be the America that God intended for us to be, like we were sixty or one hundred years ago, we can. I am not saying that the American government of those days was perfect, but the nation still revered God, collectively.

In polls today, many people still say that they are Christians, but they are basing this on believing in God’s existence not in His Son, Jesus. Satan knows that God is real, he believes in His existence, but he doesn’t serve Him and hasn’t for thousands of years. In truth, that is what is wrong with our country collectively. The fact that there is just a small minority of people who truly are Christians in their hearts, their character and in their lives. Not just one or two days a week, but every day. The rest of the country maybe goes to church on Easter or at Christmas, which are pagan holidays which the “church” adopted in order to draw in more people, but many people leave that service unchanged, why?

Because they choose not to believe what they have heard, that is why they leave a church service without Jesus in their hearts. It is our choices which define our lives…our existence, here and in eternity. It is your choice to believe or not to believe and the fact that the choice is an easy one is what seems to make it hard for people to make that choice. In choosing to be a follower of Jesus and allowing Him to change you into the person that you are supposed to be, you are telling God that I do believe that you are the Creator and that your Word is Truth, that you believe, deeply believe, that what He says in the Bible, regardless of how hard it is to take really did happen and that every word is Truth.

We all have choices to make in life, in listening to people, hearing their opinions, whether we believe those opinions or not, and then choose whether we will listen to what they say about Jesus and our life with Him rather than block them out because their opinions are different from mine or yours. This is the reason for many people who leave a congregation to find someone else to listen to many times. Sometimes it will even split the church itself.

Choose to listen to a message, not because of the political leanings of the preacher but because He is preaching from God’s Word. Opinions are like eyes and ears and belly buttons, everyone has one. Choosing to go to church because your preacher is preaching from the Word of God and not because of his opinions about politics or the weather is the right choice because we all need to hear God’s Word preached. Choose to be the person who will hear God’s Word, not just the messenger that is delivering it.

Freedom, self-determination, choices = ?

In our history books, especially the ones taught from today, United States history is entirely different from what really happened. So, how did we get to the point of being a nation which is hated and despised in the world and at home? Why are we hated and despised at home and abroad? Are the people who hate us at home the same as the people who hate us in other countries? Maybe not ethnically or ideologically but philosophically, yes they are.

Our country, America, was founded on principles which come from God’s Word and that is one of the main reasons that many people around the world hate us. Not because we have a capitalist form of living and livelihood, but because of our faith in Jesus mostly. If this country had been founded by people who wanted to create the largest Muslim nation in the world, there would be no problem. It is our faith in God and His Son, Jesus which sets us and our nation at odds with every nation in the world except for Israel.

God ordained their existence and the land that they live in to be theirs and for them to be the people and the culture that they are and have been for about four thousand years! Our country was founded by people who were escaping religious persecution from their country to start a new life in a new country. Yes, there have been people in this country and others who have exploited people, both white and non-white, for different reasons. Some have even used the Bible to justify their actions and make themselves feel better while doing it.

But…America has also been an ideal, an idea that many people aspire toward, a standard to strive for, just as living up to the standard of Jesus’ life is something which most Christians try to live up to. Granted, we can’t live lives that are perfectly sinless but we can strive toward that goal so that  others can see us trying to do it.

Yes, America has stumbled and made some mistakes as a country, Christians stumble and fall too but we all have to get up and keep going…keep trying to do better, be better than our parents were. Is it possible? Yes, as long as we don’t push God completely out of our lives or out of our country!

The ideals that made this country great are not dead and the idea of America being a great country is not dead yet. Just as being a Christian is not an easy task nor a simple one, being an American is a choice as well. Working to make this country and our own lives better is something that we all should and need to do. Seeking the strength that we get from our relationship with Jesus is the way to be a Christian, one that is at least striving to be more like Jesus instead of tearing down the ideal, the idea of Jesus and Who He is.

Get into God’s Word and study it, read it, learn from it, because if we don’t do at least what the early Americans did by using His Wisdom in our lives and in our country’s government, then we might just need to open our borders, disband the military and all of the government offices and just shut down the government entirely. What will we have then? I don’t know, but I wouldn’t want to live here any more.
